Welllllll, not "G" but, he definitely handled the Kanye question in a legit manner, lol.

Saint Laurent, No Yves
The famed Yves Saint Laurent label is said to be changing its name to Saint Laurent Paris. The label was founded in 1962 by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé, and new creative director Hedi Silmane is said to be re-branding the fashion house to usher it into a new era. The iconic YSL logo, however, is said to remain the same. My issues with this are twofold: 1) The name isn't going to be any shorter. If they're trying to make it more succinct, wouldn't shortening it be the key? 2) It bothers me when letters don't match up with the words. So the "YSL" logo will be the same, but there will be no Y. To me that's a WTF?
Question: How will this affect the rap game?
"Close your eyes and imagine, feel the magic, Vegas on acid, Seen through Yves Saint Laurent glasses"
- Kanye West, "Diamonds"
"Seen it on the blog, These muhf*ckas cost, Yves Saint Laurent, You can tell by the fonts"
- Tyga, "I'm So Raw"
"Is that her in the VIP line, With the Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent, Used to drive a Nissan now she in a Beamer"
- Future, "Turn on the Lights"
"By your appearance I can get a glimpse of your vibe, They say you are what you wear, I am Yves Saint Laurent mixing Martin Margiela"
- Diggy Simmons, "Digg is Like"
"Yves Saint Laurent knitted, shorts bermuda, You would think they were Pucci if you overlooked Medusa"
- Pusha T, "Comedy Central"
Answer: Very much so.

5 Things You'll NEVER See in THIS Lifetime.

1. Dr. Dre's Detox.
His long awaited follow-up to "The Chronic 2001" just ain't happening. Let's face it. We're the only ppl that don;t know it yet. (Doesn't his face just say "C'mon, son"?)2. The Sperry Pastel Pack. Yeah, no. It's summer already. Sperry promised this several SPRINGS ago.

3. Jay-Z ACTUALLY retiring. Eh, whatever. Who wants to see this sh*t anyway???

4. Watch The Throne: Comedy Edition. Chris Rock x Dave Chappelle. IF this happens, I will cash out. No question. But, it probably won't happen.

5. Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. If you were looking for a way to prolong this showdown, you found it.

Gilles' Lyric: Day 1
You get the tweets.
You like the facebook posts.
Hell, you even read the blog.
But, this is different. Today marks the start of something interesting (hopefully). With the preparation for my debut project ("Successfully Lost") near completion, we here at www.supergilles.com wanna give you good folks an opportunity to get to know the man behind the music a lil' better. So we got to thinking...
Hmmmmm...
Well, for starters, we think in music. And, we couldn't think of any better way to get'ch'all the scoop than via song. So it is with great excitement that we give you::: "Gilles' Lyric: 30 days of getting to know me."
Searching the deep recesses of our iTunes library, we have found and designated those special lyrics, cross-genre, that we feel represent, shape or embody me as a person and artist.
So with no further adieu, we give you Day 1.
"F*ck that b*tch, she don't wanna dance."
- Kanye West via "N*ggas in Paris"
Album: Watch The Throne
My take:::
An apt quote often used in my life as a personal mantra, good for self-motivation and a jump-start for moving past minor disappointments.

Kaws X The High X Meeeeeee! (see what I did there with the "x's"???)
A few flicks from my last outing @ the High Museum here in Atlanta. A once tag-nificent graffiti artist by the name of KAWS was on display...To put you up on game (for those that don't know), he's already worked with the likes of Kanye West, Marc Jacobs and Lucasfilm

Ya Mama.
In honor of Mother's Day being this past weekend, I've put together a list of some of my favorite songs about...er...ya mama. Yeah, I said it.
Aloe Blacc - Mama Hold My Hand
Tupac - Dear Mama (duh)
I decided to keep a positive outlook on motherhood and NOT go w/ "Brenda's Got a Baby"
Jay-Z - December 4
Kanye West - Hey Mama
Teedra Moses - I Think of You (Shirley's Song)
Boyz II Men - A Song For Mama
Three Six Mafia - Baby Mama
LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out
Martin - My Mama Bird
Little known fact about me: I was a big a** baby.
